ok, alright, new stuff
Ok, alright, new stuff. I´m writing this out ahead of time so I can have more time to try and e-mail everyone who writes me back. But before I get started, I would like to give a big happy belated birthday shout out to Luke Laaveg. Luke, I hope you read this, I hope you had a great B-Day and I hope your Senior year is going well. I´ll see if I can bring back some new anomely stories for you.
But now, getting on with new stuff with me. I think I´ll start off with something not so great. I´m feeling much better now, but earlier this week I had some wicked bad stomach cramps. They were probably the worst I can remember having and my life kind of sucked for a couple days there, but as I already said, I´m feeling a lot better now, so I guess all´s well.
On a more encouraging note, earlier this week while I was having English class (which by the way is my favorite class, for obvious reasons) one of my friends told me she thought I was less of a gringo now than when I first came to Ecuador. I thought that was pretty great. Oh, and since I´m on the subject of English class, I would like everyone who reads this to download or buy or whatever, ¨crazy¨ by Aerosmith. I have had to listen to that song about 2,347 times in class, and I would like everyone to share some of my pain (it´s a really bad song).´
Qué mas... Oh, last week I played Ecuavolley (a type of volleyball) and soccar with most of the professors (not professoras) from my school. It was fun except during soccar when I was the goalie and my computer apps teacher kicked the ball about 100mph at my chest. I didn´t like that so much. I´m usually not the goalie however, so I don´t have to worry about that happening too often, which is good.
Something I thought was kind of wierd happened this week (please keep in mind that I go to a Catholic school). It turns out that every once-in-a-while each grade gets to watch a movie. Well, my class watched Rob Zombie´s ¨House of a Thousand Corpses,¨ wich I´m just going to say, is not a kids movie. Anyway, directly afterwards we went to our double blocked religion class. I´m just going to end with that note for that peice of information.
Now that I´m more or less on the subject of movies, I think you all should know that I probably will be watching, as well as buying, quite a few while iñm here. DVD´s (although they aren´t the originals) are one dollar and I´m pretty convinced that they aren´t the crappy theatre recordings either. And another thing, I probably will be comming home with a lot of music. You can get three CD´s for a dollar here. Again, they aren´t the originals, but when they´re three for a dollar, who cares!
Switching gears a little no, I went to a ¨drum lesson¨ about a week and a half ago. The teacher more or less told me he couldn´t teach me anything, so that kind of sucks (but at the same time makes me feel good.) Anyway, this next part may sound a little ridiculous, but I might end up buying a trap set here. If I were to take ¨lessons¨ the whole time I´m in Eucador (which I would want to do) it would cost about the same as a new trap set here, something I could play a lot more that one or twice a week.
Now on to something else, it seems as though my band´s name is already taken, so we´re going to have to change it, more or less, for a third time. I thought The Human Machine was pretty original, but I guess I thought wrong. Anyway, if this go around is anything like last time we had to change our name, we´ll probably make an announcement as to what our new one is sometime after christmas.
Moving on, here are a few random thoughts:
1) I think everyone should read Dante´s The Divine Comedy
2) I wish the care package my family sent me gets here soon.
3) Regarding the last statement, I hope the care package my family sent me gets here soon because I want my CD´s
4) Regarding the last two statements, I want my CD´s out of the care package my family sent me because Romantic Music sucks
5) When I say Romantic Music suck, I mean it sucks a lot
6) I saw a car with a huge spoiler and undercarage lights with it´s right tail light out. I just thought that was odd.
And 7) I want some oreo´s and milk (preferably milk that doesn´t have to be boiled before I can drink it)
Alright folks, I´m going to make that it for now, so I would like to wish you all a nice week, and I want you all to know that I´m doing very well and things seem to just keep getting better, so don´t worry about me!
Noah Eggebraaten...still abroad, still digging it.

We miss you, Noah...and I'm totally with you on the boiling milk thing...I had to deal with that when I was little and my grandparents still ran a dairy farm...

Rens, glad to hear you are getting along well. I too am checking your blog regularly, and enjoying it. Michelle and I think of you often and it's cool that I can tell my friends you are in Ecuador. I hope the drum thing works out. Be good, and dont' feel like you have to respond to our emails;I know you have a lot of people to keep updated. I still think you should have some pics on the blog though! Ok, Michelle and I will try calling you in a couple of weeks, so be good, and say your prayers. Peace my little non-gringo!
